About the temple
One of the most prominent Ganesha shrines in Western Tamil Nadu; situated along the Pollachi highway; legend records this giant 6-foot idol was being transported by bullock cart from Madurai to Perur Temple, but the cart broke down at Eachanari and the idol became permanently rooted here as a divine sanctuary. Traditional belief: Foremost protector against road travel hazards, instant remover of obstacles, grantor of vehicle protection, and bestower of business prosperity.
