The supreme spiritual sanctuary where the celebrated 18th-century naked Avadhuta saint and musical composer Sri Sadasiva Brahmendra entered Jeeva Samadhi in 1755 CE; situated on the tranquil banks of the Kaveri River; patronized by the Thondaiman Rajas of Pudukkottai who received sacred sand mantras (Akshata) from the saint; globally revered for meditation and silent spiritual contemplation. Traditional belief: Complete mental tranquility, awakening of spiritual wisdom (Brahma Jnana), relief from severe depression, and healing of speech/mental afflictions.
